| It is that day again. Where were you when it all happened 8 years ago? When I first know it, I was on my way out to work. I think time froze a bit that day.

| Been a while since I blog. For past few months I've been following politics closely. I've watched both Democratic and Republic National Convention, the three presidential and the one and only vice presidential debate. Overall I picked the person that represent the American future instead of the American past. I don't think I've missed an election day since I became a citizen in 1996. The future is bright.

| On Wednesday, August 13th an unimaginable thing happened. I was woken up to take a call around 6:15am. It was my father. He told me he got into a car accident and his car is a total lost. He said he is alright and will need to see me and my mother.
A car total lost? the accident must be really bad to happen make the car un-repairable. Is he calling from a hospital? Many unpleasant thought happens in my mind. I wonder what other party are involved. I asked for the address, and he gave me the address of 2441 Porter St, Los Angeles, CA 90021 and the location name is called "Power Tow Inc.". "Power Tow Inc." WTF. I wonder what hospital is named that. I some what know that street since I go down to Little Tokyo from times to time, but I don't ever recall seeing a hospital. After I got off the phone, I google the address and found out it is a towing company in LA. Which gave me a slight relive knowing he must be okay.
My mother and I left for LA around 6:45am and got to the location about 8:00am. When I saw him, I had a sign of relif. He just got off the phone with making a call to work to let them know he can't come in that day. I wonder what the car looks like now, since he said a total lost. (At that time I wish I have my camera to better describe it). I asked him and he showed us. Yep the car is total lost. All glass window are borken. Front headlight fall off the side. Tires exploed. The sides, no sign of being hit; thus, no showing of any of the air bags got inflated. So what cause that type of damage. especially to force the roof top to cave up.
My father describe the instance to me. Around 5 in the morning as he heads to work the road was slippery. He slowed down but suddently the wheels locked up and unresponsive and the car skids from side to side and eventually fell down from one level of the freeway to the next.and the car eventually slam side way into a construction area (probably alot of sand since one side looks like it got splash with dirt). From the location of the Towing company, I think he fell onto the off ramp or else it would have been a heavier fall and we wouldn't be talking. I don't have the police report to know the exact detail or know the location where the car was tow from.
Overall, I'm glad that he is alright. He looked okay. He said he is sored. He can walk, talk and laugh. It is good to know he can joke about that he shouldn't have fill up the gas tank, it could have saved him some money.
So now a day after. I'm glad everything is fine, we'll have to get a new car for him to drive to work, but that is nothing to compare that he is still alive. So I'm happy, knowing that he is still with me as I begin my 31st year of my life.

As per the governer's order, for the month of August (which pay checks comes in September) I will make $6.55 an hour. I make minimum wage now.

| What a Jolt. The building started shaking around 11:40am and lasted about 15 seconds. At first I thought some one is working on the AC but it was a small earthquake. Everything seems to be okay.
